The best development environment to start programming C++
Categories:
Since it was launched in 1987, Turbo C has been one of the most popular and used C compilers, specially in university environments. At the beggining of the 90's Borland launched the C++ version of this compiler: Turbo C++.
Turbo C++ in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that allows the user to compile programs developed using C++, the famous object orientated programming language. It's first versions worked using MS-DOS. Over the years it evolved into more complete environments like Borland C++ and C++ Builder, that did work using Windows, so in 1994 people stopped using it temporarily.
But after a few years we where able to enjoy a new version of Turbo C++. It was a compact version developed using C++ Builder as a base program, and it was launched in autumn 2006. Nowadays, this famous compiler has finally been discarded and it has been substituted by a new version of C++ Builder, and it no longer can be downloaded from the official web page.
